A print that earns the photograph

Sunglasses with a beach reflected in each lens, red palms, small birds and the UOMO wordmark, scattered at mixed angles over a petrol blue ground. It is a holiday print, and holiday prints do a job a plain black cannot: they get photographed. A buyer building a summer drop or a social-first launch needs a style that looks like something on a feed rather than something in a drawer, and this is the one in the range that does. The lenses carry the detail - a sunset, a palm, a strip of sea - so the print still rewards a close crop.

Graded XL to 5XL, on the same block as our regular range

This is the plus-size style. It runs XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL, where the rest of our men's range stops at 4XL, and it is cut on the same proven boxer-brief block rather than a separate pattern that fits differently. That matters more than it sounds: a buyer can carry one look across a full size curve without the large sizes reading as a different product, and the fit a customer liked at XL is the fit he gets at 4XL.

Six grounds, the print recoloured on each

Petrol blue, red, black, charcoal, royal blue and light grey are held as stock grounds. The print is separated per ground rather than dropped onto a new background, so the sunglasses stay readable on the black and the palms keep their bite on the light grey. Six versions of one print in one colour look like a printing error; six recoloured versions look like a range.

A waistband built to be seen

The band carries a white panel with the UOMO logotype in red, flanked by diagonal red and navy blocks that continue around the body. It is the part that shows above a waistband on a beach or under an open shirt, which is exactly where this style is worn, so the panel is sized to stay legible at that glance. The lettering is knitted into the tape rather than printed, so industrial washing does not crack it, and the jacquard can be re-drawn with your own name and colours at no tooling cost.

Cotton jersey with the stretch a larger size needs

The body is 95% cotton with 5% spandex. On a plus-size block the spandex is doing more work than on a regular one: the leg opening and the seat have to recover after a full day rather than bag out, which is the single most common complaint on large-size underwear. Seat seams are flat-locked, the pouch is cut in three panels, and the leg hems are cover-stitched so they do not twist in the drum.

Print fastness tested per ground

An all-over print on cotton fails in two ways a buyer sees: colour bleeding into the ground after a few washes, and the print crocking onto light trousers. Wash and rub fastness are tested against the standard your market requires before bulk is approved, and each ground is tested separately - the figures for a black and a light grey are not interchangeable.

Which brands this style suits

Plus sizes are under-served and the buyers who serve them know it. Supermarket and department store chains run this as the summer face of a men's bay where the large sizes usually get the plainest styles. Direct-to-consumer labels use it as the piece that carries the campaign, because a print like this shoots well on a real body rather than only on a size-M mannequin. And because it goes to 5XL, one style covers a size curve most competitors break into two.

What we handle before the container leaves

Every order passes AQL 2.5 inspection, an elasticity test on the waistband and mandatory metal detection before it is packed. Printing, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing and packing all run inside our own Zhejiang facility, so a question about print registration or a large-size grading does not become a three-way conversation with a print house and a subcontractor.

MOQ, samples and lead time

Minimum order is 500 pieces per style per colour. Samples run 7 to 10 days from an approved specification, and a printed style needs a strike-off approved before that clock starts. Bulk lead time is quoted against your size and colour split once the sample is signed off. Payment terms are T/T, L/C or PayPal. Tell us the grounds and the size curve you need and we will come back with a costed quotation and a sample date.
