An oriental dragon repeat drawn in tattoo line-work

The print is a dragon repeat in the irezumi tradition: scaled bodies coiling through flame tips, drawn as fine black line-work rather than filled shapes, with the characters for dragon and spirit set between them. Line-work is the hard case for an all-over print, because a thin line that blocks up in production turns a dragon into a smudge. The engraving holds the line weight at the scale it is printed, which is why the scales still read as scales on the leg panel and not as grey texture.

Six stock colourways

Blue, red, black, charcoal, royal blue, grey are held in stock on this style. Six is a full range for one print, and the spread is deliberate: a dragon print is bought as a statement, and a buyer building a three-pack or a five-pack wants to pick a palette rather than take what is left. The print is recoloured on every ground rather than dropped onto a new background, so the flames run orange on the grey, blue on the black, and red on the blue.

A waistband colour-matched to every ground

Each colourway carries its own waistband: orange on the blue, black on the red, yellow on the black, green on the charcoal, grey on the royal blue. The band is a bold UOMO knitted beside a diagonal bar motif, sized so the name reads across the front without a separate label. The lettering is knitted into the tape rather than printed, so industrial washing does not crack or lift it, and the jacquard can be re-drawn with your own name and palette at no tooling cost.

Cotton jersey on our standard men's block

The body is 95% cotton with 5% spandex, cut on the same boxer-brief block as the rest of our men's range, so the fit is already proven and only the print changes. The leg finishes at mid-thigh, the pouch is cut in three panels to hold its shape, seat seams are flat-locked so nothing sits proud under trousers, and the leg hems are cover-stitched so they do not twist in the drum.

Print fastness tested per ground, not once for the range

An all-over print on cotton fails in two ways a buyer sees: colour bleeding into the ground after a few washes, and the print crocking onto a light-coloured trouser. Wash and rub fastness are tested against the standard your market requires before bulk is approved. With six grounds the figures are not interchangeable, so the black and the light grey are tested separately rather than signed off from one strike-off.

Which brands this style suits

A dragon print sells on impulse rather than on need, and that changes where it belongs. Department store and supermarket buyers run it as a seasonal or Lunar New Year push, where the motif does the merchandising on its own. Pharmacy and convenience chains take it as a single-piece line at the till. Direct-to-consumer labels use it as the style that earns the photograph, with a plain black carrying the volume behind it. Because there are six grounds, the same style also fills a multipack programme without repeating a colour.

Putting your own artwork on this block

If you have a print, we work from your repeat file and match it to this block, and we return a strike-off on the actual fabric before any bulk yarn is dyed, because a print approved on paper and a print approved on cotton jersey are not the same colour. If you do not, our design team draws to a brief: dragon, koi, tiger, camouflage, geometric or a house motif can be engraved to your palette. Repeat size, colour count and placement across the panels are specified per order.

What we handle before the container leaves

Every order passes AQL 2.5 inspection, an elasticity test on the waistband and mandatory metal detection before it is packed. Printing, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing and packing all run inside our own Zhejiang facility, so a question about print registration does not become a three-way conversation with a print house and a subcontractor. Patterns are graded for EU, US, UK, AU and JP charts from the same block, so one approved sample covers every market you sell into.

MOQ, samples and lead time

Minimum order is 500 pieces per style per colour. Samples run 7 to 10 days from an approved specification, and a printed style needs a strike-off approved before that clock starts. Bulk lead time is quoted against your size and colour split once the sample is signed off. Payment terms are T/T, L/C or PayPal. Tell us which of the six grounds you want and in what split, and we will come back with a costed quotation and a sample date.
